Posted on Nov 25, 2009

I very much wanted to give Star Wars Trench Run for my iPod Touch (or
iPhone) a strong recommendation for a couple of reasons. First, it's
Star Wars and despite George Lucas' attempts to destroy my fond
childhood memories of his creation, they still persist. Second, it was
created by a local company, Infrared5, and I had met one of the
principles of the company at my Boston event. However, I can't truly
recommend this game mostly because its gameplay is too shallow and
repetitive to warrant its $4.99 price (which is moderately high by App
Store standards). To be clear, this isn't a bad game per se, just not
one I'd highly recommend.

In order to accomplish this task, we'll utilize some jQuery selectors and traversal methods as well as the data() method (you can see the code in action here).

Five new projects and three updates in ColdFusion open source projects this week. Sorry for the delay in posting this week but I am still recovering schedule-wise from RIA Unleashed which was a huge success (don't take my word for it? Here's a review from InsideRIA).

Obviously I am biased, but I thought RIA Unleashed : Boston turned out awesome! Every attendee I spoke to was extremely excited and every presentation was packed. We ended up with over 300 attendees and had a great after party where even the beer was flowing thanks to Adobe (thanks Ryan!). Below is a list of presentation links (so far) from some of our speakers. I will try to keep this up to date as any new posts are posted. I will also add any follow-ups I find. Thanks everyone who attended and I am looking forward to RIA Unleashed : Boston 2010!
