Facebook Connect How To - Workshop with Ryan Merket at FOWA

Posted on Mar 02, 2010

My morning workshop on the second full-day of FOWA Miami 2010 covered Facebook connect. The room felt a little like a basement with a very odd L-shaped configuration and there was a relatively small attendance at first, perhaps with many people still recovering from the party the night before at the Clevelander (not surprisingly, people streamed in late as the session was ongoing). The current spec is 900 pages!

Build Once, Deploy Anywhere - Dion Almaer at FOWA

They are discussing about the idea of build once, deploy anywhere in terms of devices such as smart phones and Kindle. The issue for developers is that as devices proliferate, there is increasing fragmentation with unique SDKs for each type of device. This can leave to a lot of pain as we are forced to make "bets" on which devices we plan on supporting.
