Cool Stuff with the Flash Platform - 4/26/11

Posted on Apr 26, 2011

A ton of great content this week from the Flash Platform community. Among my personal favorites include a number of outstanding posts from Christophe Coenraets about iOS development with Flex and AIR, videos from Lee Brimelow showing games running on iOS using AIR, a sweet looking carousel layout from Tink, a runtime bitmap tracer from Claus Wahlers, an RGB color wheel tracker from Didier Brun and Todd Sharp open sourcing his ColdFusion-based and widely used presentation sharing site.

Nonetheless, between Serge Jespers sneak peak of Flash Builder, Marco Scabia's overview of AGAL for Molehill or Ben Nadel's use of a facial detection API in ColdFusion to name just a few, there's still plenty of awesome stuff this week.

Not as many releases in this week's update aside from the AIR 2.7 beta for desktops. However, this week included some impressive tutorials and code samples such as the Flex on iOS preview from Michaƫl Chaize, a Molehill 3D augmented reality demo by Evgeniy Zatepyakin and a Kinect/Flash mapping application from Mansour Raad.
