ColdFusion Open-Source Update - May 30

A lot to update this week....most are just development updates on future releases of projects, which I anticipate quite a few leading up to CFUnited. Also, there are several interesting Breeze presentations. Sorry for the delay in the post this week, but I spent the long weekend in Montreal, which is a beautiful city btw.AjaxCFC
BlueDragon Compatibility Update and Mach-II Port coming
Rob Gonda writes that he has fixed a bug in AjaxCFC's BlueDragon support and is planning a Mach II port soon.

Mach II 1.1.1 Maintenance Release Satus Update
Peter Farrell discusses a few of the fixes in the upcoming release.

Mach II 1.1.1 Performance Improvements
Peter gives a brief overview of the performance increases you can expect from the forthcoming maintenance release compared with the 1.1.0 version.

Sean Corfield on Integrating Mach II with a Flex Front-End
Sean gives advice on how to properly set up filters and listeners to allow your Mach II applications to integrate nicely with Flex (and/or web services). He points out some pitfalls that tend to catch developers who are even already aware of the best practices.

FarCry
Geoff Bowers Presents FarCry 3.0 and 3.1 (Gonzales) Sneak Peak
Geoff spoke to the Boston CFUG and Online CFUG regarding the current 3.0 release and previewed some new features of the upcoming release codenamed Gonzales. If you are interested in my impressions of FarCry and Geoff's presentation, you can check my prior post.

Model-Glue
Ray Camden's Model-Glue Presentation
Aaron West posts a Breeze recording of Ray Camden's presentation covering Model-Glue for the Nashville CFUG.

Joe Rhinehart's Model-Glue Presentation
Joe Rhinehart, the creator of Model-Glue, spoke to the Portland CFUG and even gave a preview of the upcoming Model-Glue 2.0 Unity release. Thankfully for the rest of us, a Breeze recording is available for this presentation as well.

Reactor
New Reactor Trac site and SVN Location
Reactor has a new Trac site and svn location. I am linking to Sean's post on the topic because at the moment Doug Hughes' site appears to be down.

FuseBox
FuseBox 5 Nears General Release
Sean Corfield gives a brief update on the development status of FuseBox 5 Beta. He states that over 200 people have signed up for the beta testing and many are already running FuseBox 5 on production sites.

CFObjects
The CFobjects Framework Lives
Steve Brownlee explains that he is still maintaining the CFObjects framework and actually working on a new release that will update the framework. He solicits some feedback from either interested parties or current users of the framework.
