ColdFusion Open-Source Update - January 7, 2008

Two new projects and one update this week. A quiet week as releases and announcements go, but very busy in the tutorial department. On a side note, I am no LSU fan but will be rooting for them tonight. I just don't like Ohio State and it would be nice to see them blown out two years in a row. Sorry, Ohio, it's not you really...it's just that you were a part of the eternal travesty that is the 2002 national championship game where my beloved Hurricanes were stripped of their championship on a *highly* questionable pass interference call. Argh! Just mentioning it still gets me upset. Not that I hold a grudge...not at all.

It's funny how bitter Miami fans are about being #2 in 2002. No Buckeye candy for you then. It was a good call. Get over it. Be proud of how far they got. Whether my Bucks win tonight or not, I'm proud of them for getting there in the first place.

Brian Rinaldi
@arcadi - wow, still sensitive after last year eh? I was kidding. FWIW, I was never upset about the losing, it was the manner of the losing (and while I certainly won't argue that it was the wrong call, outside of Ohio it is pretty universally considered at best questionable). But seriously as a fan of Miami sports right you just have to accept that this stuff is cyclical. Ohio State and LSU are where we were many years ago and where, knowing UM, we will again someday.

Anyway, best of luck to you!

When will college football get a REAL playoff system? Until then, all those "national championships" don't mean squat to me.
