ColdFusion Open-Source Update - May 28

Open-source ColdFusion developers from around the globe banded together this week to give my typing fingers a break. We have one new project and five updates this week. On a side note, be sure to check myni-weekly updates coming on the ColdFusion Weekly Podcast.

New Releases and Updates

New Project: DBX
Initial Release
DBX, created by Kevin Miller, is a tool for viewing database metadata for any MSSQL datasource. It gives a view of table and column data, as well as dependencies and stored procedures including generating code for cfquery and cfstoredprocedure tags.

Iterator
Recordset: Create Iterating Domain Objects via Inheritance
Paul Marcotte has bundled a recordset component with his iterator project that converts queries to arrays of structures and provides methods for accessing this data.

Squidhead
Squidhead and CFUnit
Terrence Ryan has adde a feature to Squidhead to have it generate its own unit tests and mock objects.

newBee
newBee - small update
Trond Ulseth updated his framework to give precedence to form over URL scoped variables.

ICEGen
ICEGen rewritten for version 20050521b
Tony Petruzzi has rewritten a large portion of his recently released generator to improve the quality and readability of the generated output as well as add an HTML UI to the front-end.

Kalendar
Kalendar 1.0 RC3 Released
TJ Downes updated his calendar application to make the generated output XHTML compliant.
