Steve Bryant Presenting DataMgr to Boston CFUG

Posted on Feb 20, 2007

The February meeting of the Boston ColdFusion User Group will be held tomorrow at 6:30pm and will be at the Sun Life Financial offices in Wellesley (directions below). Our speaker will be Steve Bryant, who will be coming all the way from Oklahoma, and presenting his DataMgr open-source application (this is an in person meeting not a Breezo, though I may record it). Please RSVP to brinaldi[at]remotesynthesis[dot]com

Presentation: DataMgr Component Set
Steve Bryant will demonstrate his free DataMgr component set. This is a tool to help with common database interactions. It reduces that amount of redundant work needed to accomplish basic tasks and helps bring about a more efficient workflow by separating database interactions from programming logic.

Unlike ORM solutions, it does not enforce a certain programming approach but rather allows you to program in whatever style you prefer (OO or not). It currently supports Access, MySQL, PostGreSQL and SQL Server. Adding more database support should be easy.

Come find out how DataMgr can make your life easier.
