ColdFusion Open-Source Update - April 13, 2009
Posted on Apr 13, 2009
One new project and four updates this week. I am not too much in the mood for funny quips this week as last Wednesday the wheels off my three day old car were stolen right in front of my home and I am still in the midst of trying to get everything resolved. At this point, I have spent more time on the phone with the shop or the insurance company or whatever than I did with my car.

Comments
Sorry (again) for your loss.
For what it's worth (admittedly, not much), my flex multi-file upload widget should work with almost any upload-capable server-side language; I just gave my example in ColdFusion because that's what I'm familiar with.

Sorry to hear about your car man. As one whose had a car stolen (twice) I can understand what's going on.
Don't let those insurance companies get away with anything!

I had all of my wheels stolen 3 weeks ago. So when I read that it hit a nerve.
Since the theft, I had a car alarm installed (one is less likely to hang around a car that is making lots of noise) but what I was not aware of and wanted to bring up where 'wheel locks'.
In a nutshell, they replace one of the lug nuts on the wheels with special ones that require a metal 'key' to remove them. Thereby rendering a regular wrench unable to remove the wheel lock easily unless you have the metal key.
Nothing is impenetrable but they do add another layer of deterrent. And at less than $100 to purchase and install, they are worth it.
