ColdFusion Open-Source Update - November 10, 2009

Six new projects and one update this week. I wasn't sure I would get this post up as I am crazy busy trying to prepare for our sold out crowd at RIA Unleashed : Boston. I think this is going to be a great event, so if you didn't make it this year, be sure to watch for next. (I am not mentioning the Dolphins this week for those who are wondering because their season is effectively over) Anyway, on with the update...

New Project: cfMediaPlayer
Released cfMediaPlayer on RIAForge
Stephen Withington has released a custom tag to display video using the JW FLV Player.

New Project: ColdFusion Builder Extension Test Creator
Initial Release
Terry Ryan posts this project that captures results of a ColdFusion Builder Extension action to a file.

New Project: ColdTurkey
Initial Release
Philip Senn release this project which is intended to be a CRUD module.

New Project: POP CFC
Initial Release
Paul Vernon is trying to build a component that mimics the functionality and performance of CFX_POP3.

New Project: Tokamak
Initial Release
Joe Roberts posts this simple REST API for Fusion Reactor.

New Project: WhoIs CFC
Initial Release
Paul Vernon created this WhoIs client that mimics the functionality of CFX_Whois.

Mach-II
Mach-II Simplicity (1.8) is now GPLv3 with Classpath Exception. Woot!
The bleeding edge release has been updated with the GPL license.
